With its rounded yellow-and-black fibreglass hull, compact seat, handlebars, and jet-powered propulsion, it was unlike anything else on the water. The original wasn't a commercial success, but it planted the seed for the Sea-Doo machines that would eventually transform recreational boating.

The Story Behind Our 1968 Sea-Doo Aqua Scooter Art Print

There's something fascinating about a machine that was so far ahead of its time. The original Aqua Scooter may not have been a commercial success, but its unusual design and place in Canadian recreational history make it an important part of the Sea-Doo story.

I've always been drawn to the early machines that started something bigger. The Aqua Scooter's wonderfully unconventional shape, bright yellow bodywork, and almost playful appearance made it an obvious choice for this collection. I wanted to capture those distinctive details in a clean, photorealistic composition that gives this little piece of Canadian ingenuity the attention it deserves.

For Sea-Doo enthusiasts and PWC collectors, it's a chance to own a piece of the history behind a pastime they love. Whether your memories involve early Sea-Doos, stand-up Jet Skis, or summers spent exploring the lake, this print connects those experiences to the machine that helped start it all.

Why You’ll Love It

The Original Sea-Doo: Features the pioneering 1968 Aqua Scooter that helped establish the modern personal watercraft category.

Made in Québec: A nod to Bombardier's Canadian roots and the original Sea-Doo's production in Roxton Falls.

Unmistakable 1960s Design: Its rounded yellow hull, simple handlebars, and unusual proportions make it unlike practically anything on the water today.

PWC History Worth Collecting: A distinctive addition to any collection dedicated to Sea-Doo, vintage Jet Skis, WaveRunners, and the evolution of recreational watercraft.

Photorealistic Fine Art: Detailed rendering captures the shapes, colours, materials, and mechanical character of the original machine.

Modern, Minimalist Presentation: A clean solid background puts the Aqua Scooter itself in the spotlight.

Where It Belongs

At the cottage, boathouse, lake house, garage, workshop, or anywhere summer memories and great vintage machines belong on the wall.
