Philadelphia Eagles-inspired Vintage NFL Art Print

Our Philadelphia Eagles-inspired art print was created to honour the history of one of the NFL's older teams. The NFL awarded the transfer of Philadelphia's first franchise, the Frankford Yellow Jackets, to Lud Wray and Bert Bell in 1932 for the princely-sum of $2,500. The Yellow Jackets had gone bankrupt several years earlier and Wray and Bell acquired the assets. In 1933 they hit the field as the Eagles, a name inspired by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's National Recovery Act 'blue eagle' symbol.
